Today the price of studio equipment has gone down a lot and this means that independent musicians don’t need to hire studios, but can buy their own gear and record in their “home recording studios”
Online recording connects musicians from all over the world enabling them to create music via Internet.
A singer/songwriter from New York can record a demo of his song with just guitar and vocals on his computer, send it via email to a drummer in London and receive a day later professional drum tracks in his email. After the drum parts are recorded, he can contact a guitarist from Sydney and get a professional guitar track on it. After he gets a bassist from Paris, a piano player from Shanghai…
At the end of the process the singer/songwriter will end up with a high quality sounding song completely recorded ONLINE!

Thanks to the Internet today, musicians don’t need to be recording in the same room anymore. They can record their parts anywhere in the world and send the stems via email to one another. The tracks are then mixed for a high quality, professional result.

My name is Chris and I have been a drummer for a while now. Over the years I had the fortune to play, tour and record for some fantastic artists, bands and producers. Some of these include projects for Universal Music, BBC, McDonald’s, Aldi, Bosch and other TV campaigns and independent movies. I also worked extensively in theatre productions such as: WestEnd show “This House”, “The Simon & Garfunkel Story”, “Peace Train” and “The Merchant of Venice”. Toured and played major festivals.
I was very lucky to study and then graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston. There I had the chance to see and learn first hand how professional drummers work both in live and studio situations.
Recording projects and albums in big expensive studios made me realise that logistics and costs were a big challenge. This was affecting the overall quality of the final product. The high cost of hiring a studio would often rush musicians into finishing as fast as possible compromising on the quality of the music. On the other hand coordinating musicians and engineers’ availability is always tricky and that can also delay project’s completion.
Thus today it makes perfect sense to record music online. My aim is to deliver professional drum tracks that will contribute in making remarkable music with people from all over the world.
